Aspect Ratio

Aspect Ratio
the ratio of image width to height, used to characterize displays and ducts. Traditional TV or computer screens are 4:3 (1.33:1), HDTV or widescreen computers are 16:9 (1.78:1), movies may be as wide as 2.4:1.
