Equal Marginal Performance Principle

Equal Marginal Performance Principle
a way of looking at systems composed of variable speed power-modulating components, such as fans, chillers, and pumps, optimizing the design so that under peak load adding the same marginal power to any system component will yield the same increase in cooling output and controlling the system using algorithms that ensures optimal performance at all possible loading levels.
