Horizontal Cross-Connect

Horizontal Cross-Connect: a structured cabling system termination point (patch panel, punch down block, or cross-connect) where vertical or backbone cabling of the core network connects to horizontal cabling of the edge network. Sometimes called a Floor Distributor.
