Solid-State Disk

Solid-State Disk
or Solid-State Drive, a disk drive equivalent that uses semiconductor memory technology instead of a magnetic disk for faster access, lower power requirements, or smaller size. Semiconductor memories use for these applications may be volatile RAM with a built in battery or non-volatile FLASH memory.
