Web Browser
a software application that enables a user to display and interact with hyperlinked text, images, and other information on Web pages and communicates using HTTP protocol. Browsers display pages by interpreting HTML markup codes based on local user preference settings. Certain types of programs called plugins may run within the browser environment. Examples of personal computer browsers include Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Netscape, Opera, etc.
