- (IAQ), the healthfulness of air inside a building; indoor air quality issues include temperature, humidity, and carbon dioxide levels as well as pollution, mold, smoke, radon, etc. The term IAQ sensor is sometimes used for carbon dioxide sensors, sensors that measure volatile organic compounds, or the combination of carbon dioxide, temperature and humidity.
